Welcome to Hydro Shamba! This is a site dedicated to sharing information about climate smart, water efficient agriculture in arid and semi-arid lands – based on experience across Kenya’s ASALs.
This is a new initiative, built in part on work done by the Water and Energy for Food (WE4F) project in Ileret, Marsabit County.
Our aim is to inspire and inform new farmers, at different scales, to make the most of novel approaches in order to maximise food production in challenging and changing conditions!
